Learning by doing. As 21st-century students are motivated and engaged with learning through technology, the Language Centre enables them to experience authentic language input through audio, video and interactive multimedia channels. Not only do students "consume" this content, they are also able to use software to create their own new materials.
An excellent investment in the future of Glen Innes children. This world-class 21st century learning facility cost less than a dollar per student per day.
The Glen Innes High School Languages Centre was built with funds provided under the Federal Government ‘Building The Education Revolution' program. Additional computers were provided under the Federal Government National Partnerships funding program.
Over the expected 50-year service life of the building, the Language Centre will cost substantially less than $1 per student per day for each lesson taught. It represents both excellent educational opportunities, and excellent value for the community.
The result of this public investment in Glen Innes is a world-class facility that will support the development of our community for generations to come.
YOU are invited. The Principal and staff of Glen Innes High School invite community members to make full use of the adult learning opportunities provided by the Language Centre.
